What Ping&Bump does, and what it asks of you.
Short enough to read. The parts a commercial contract needs aren't here yet, and they're named at the bottom.
The exchange
You ask a question. Ping&Bump sends it to the colleague whose work shows they've done it before, and to the next one if they can't take it. If nobody here has, it says so. It never answers for anyone, and an answer is only as right as the person who wrote it.
What is asked of you
- Ask real questions. Each one takes a colleague's time. The limits are there so nobody gets buried, and working around them, by asking the same thing ten ways or scripting the ask bar, defeats the point.
- Answer as yourself. An answer goes out under your name. If you don't know, Not my area is a fine answer and costs you nothing.
- The workspace's rules apply. Your employer connected the sources and decides who is in the workspace. The work Ping&Bump reads is the company's, not ours.
What Ping&Bump won't do
Rank people, count who answers most, or show anyone how often a colleague said busy. Security draws that line exactly.
What isn't written yet
Liability, warranties, governing law and the agreement a paying company signs. Those need a lawyer. If you're evaluating Ping&Bump for a company, ask: the agreement and the DPA are a conversation.
